Murals with Florida Scenery

If you are looking for a mural artist to paint a mural with Florida landscape, you might want to consider reading this article to learn about the variety of subjects that Florida can offer. Florida has been a great place: beaches and palm trees are a preferred subject for a mural. However, there are so many other things you can choose from - from the variety of birds and reptiles to flowers, plants, and trees. You can also inquire about an aquatic subject matter. A mural will always look more complex if combining many of the things that Florida can offer. Also, there are many architectural elements and textures that can be used to create an original design for your mural. Of course one cannot compare Florida architecture with the abundance of styles in cities like New York or Boston, or Europe... However, your mural can combine many architectural elements and styles from different cultures too. For example, the Dome in Rotunda at the Lauderhill City Hall (Florida) - a twenty feet diameter and six feet deep painting, combines both Florida fauna and flora along with an elegant decorative band from the once colorful Greek Parthenon. The band is located at the very base of the mural, followed by a coral stone border characteristic to Florida. Both, the band and the border add sobriety and elegance to the mural. The decorative band and the coral base were added to increase the Trompe L'oeil effect, which gives depth to the dome. An important factor in getting a realistic, believable view is the use of the source of light. Everything is modeled keeping in mind the source of light. The cast shadows are important too. This is what makes it a Trompe L'oeil design. Another example of a mural with Florida scenery is the East Curved Wall (10x27 feet) located in the same building. The composition is very complex. One half shows a Florida gingerbread design balustrade and another half, a modern balustrade with Greek Ionic columns. Georgeta Fondos Photo I am a professional mural, fiber artist, and college professor. My mural portfolio consists of hand-painted public and residential murals in various styles, most of them located in South Florida. I am versed in both representational (realistic) and abstract art, and I am always looking forward to projects that challenge my thinking in generating original ideas. Most of my murals are painted in naturalistic style, using the trompe l'oeil effects (from French "to trick the eye".) Georgeta Fondos http://www.muralsbygeorgeta.com/ Rate this Article

A canvas wall art can be bought for a number of reasons. There are some people who purchase paintings as an investment while there are some who purchase them for décor. There are such people too who simply buy paintings and wall hangings because they like to see such stuff hanging on the walls.

Most residential murals are created with the purpose to beautify the space but also to give it more depth and definition. Trompe l'oeil is one of the favored techniques by many. This technique has been used for years; you can see some great examples with trompe l'oeil murals in early Roman frescoes.
